I recently purchased CalTracs from you guys for my 1966 Pontiac Acadian Canso SD ( mild 406 cu in ).
Its a street driven car that I have just started to race. Yesterday I raced for the first time with Slicks ( 26 X 9 ) and my Caltracs. With a 35-40mph head wind and pretty much no experience, I ran a 12.45 ET at 106 mph. The car launched hard and very straight. My 60 ft times ranged from 1.63 to 1.66. The bars were setup for street trim and I expect that I will set the preload and experiment at the next race. I was very pleased and expect to have the car running low 12's, high 11's once I get the suspension tuned up and adjust my launch RPM. I am VERY pleased with the CalTracs. The install was straight forward and with my own limited experience, performed very well.
Cheers

UPDATE: I have played with my CalTracs and chassis a bit and I am now running much better times. This weekend I ran a 11.44 at 121mph. My 60 ft time is now down to 1.57 !! It just goes to show that you can really tune these cars to hook better with some minor experimenting.

UPDATE: I recently added an Edelbrock N2O system to my car. With the 100hp jets, my car ran an 11.06 at 118 mph with a 1.54 60ft. What's cool is this was at an altitude of 4500ft . Corrected for sea level where I race, that's about a 10.44 at 125 mph. I found the nitrous really dropped my 60ft off the line.
