WELDING ONTO AXLE: Pinion angle recommendation is -2 to -4 degrees when used with CalTracs. NOTE: This is the angle of the pinion in relation to the angle of the output shaft of the transmission, NOT the driveshaft. Add the angle of the pinion yoke to the angle of the output shaft with the vehicle sitting at rest with weight on the tires.

Round U-bolts, Grade 5 steel, rust resistant coating, 1/2″ diameter, Sets include 4 U-bolts, with nuts and washers.
NOTE: While you can use your vehicle’s stock ubolts with CalTracs, Calvert Racing’s 1/2″ diameter u-bolts is an upgrade as most stock applications come with 7/16″ diameter u-bolts. We recommend torqueing the u-bolts to 65-70 foot lbs. After running the vehicle down the track a few times, we also recommending checking the u-bolts and readjusting if necessary. Basic FLIP CONVERSION KIT for 1500 Series Trucks with CalTracs* and a 3.25″ axle tube and 2.5″ wide spring* already installed.
Includes: Two Rear Mounts, Two patented Calvert Heavy Duty Perches, and set of Four U-Bolts with hardware.
A flip kit moves the axle from beneath the leaf spring to on top of the leaf spring, which lowers the truck.
