NOTE: While you can use your vehicle’s stock ubolts with CalTracs, Calvert Racing’s 1/2″ diameter u-bolts is an upgrade as most stock applications come with 7/16″ diameter u-bolts. We recommend torqueing the u-bolts to 65-70 foot lbs. After running the vehicle down the track a few times, we also recommending checking the u-bolts and readjusting if necessary. 2.75 ” Axle Perch/pair (HDP-275)
SPRING PERCHES FOR 2.75″ AXLE TUBE
Set of (2) Two Perches. Fully enclosed for added strength, pedestal tabs ensure heat penetration when welded to housing. Perch extends to center line of axle tube for more surface area. Precision laser cut. Requires welding to axle, see graphic for info.

WELDING ONTO AXLE: Pinion angle recommendation is -2 to -4 degrees when used with CalTracs. NOTE: This is the angle of the pinion in relation to the angle of the output shaft of the transmission, NOT the driveshaft. Add the angle of the pinion yoke to the angle of the output shaft with the vehicle sitting at rest with weight on the tires.
